i like those lyrics by underoath, especially the last ones about a shattered heart reminded me of Psalm 51:17 were it talks about a sacrifice of a broken and contrite heart God will not despise.(paraphrased)
and how he heals our broken hearts. thanks for posting.
what cd is that song from?
i should have looked closer at all the lyrics instead of just the ones near the bottom. it describes a little how i came to know Christ by using the death of my step brother. In my sorrow over his death i started to search out the things of God. then i moved up north in 1995 to get to be closer to my relatives up there, God used Ken lord witnessing to me, the Lord opening up my heart to scripture, Christ came into my heart and saved me from the penalty of my sin. It still amazes me how God in his soveriegnty used the death of my step brother and the subsequent circumstances to draw me to him. i could go into more detail but in a nut shell that is my testimony of how i came to know Christ. Praise God!
I agree. This was off of an old UnderOath cd when they had their old vocalist. He wrote the song about how he fell asleep at the wheel and got in a car crash when his girlfriend was in the car with him. She actually died. He talks about how much he loves her and cannot belive shes gone. So the song is telling that story but also talking about how he knows God can mend his broken heart. This song is not on a full lenth album, its on a demo cd called Cries Of The Past. Glad you liked! PS... this song is back when UnderOath used to be death metal... so anyone who thinks heavy metal isnt God honoring... Read all of UnderOaths lyrics.
yep, see what they are saying not what they sound like.
